- Octrees Method: This method is used for the viewing of visible surface identification plus viewing volume by searching octree nodes in a front-to-back order.
- Ray-Casting Method: This is a visibility-detection tool based on geometric-optics method.
- Curved-Surface Representation: Representation of a surface using an implicit equation or a parametric representation.
- Surface Contour Plots: Explicit functional representation used to plot visible surface contour lines and elimination of contour sections that are hidden by the visible parts of the surface.
- Wire-Frame Surface-Visibility Algorithm: Similar method used for line-clipping algorithm, identify visible line sections comparing edge positions with the positions of the surface in a scene.
- Wire-Frame Depth-Cueing Algorithm: By variation of the brightness of objects in a scene as a function of distance from the viewing position, information for the displaying of objects can be obtained.
